Overview

With manufacturer and industry-endorsed curriculum, School of Diesel & Heavy Equipment students at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology have a choice of five programs that result in nearly 100 percent job placement after graduation.

School of Diesel & Heavy Equipment programs include:

Students can enroll in five programs including Aggreko SelecTech, CAT Dealer Prep, Komatsu Advanced Career Training, Truck Technician and Western Equipment Dealers Association Technician Training Program.

All the programs feature industry-experienced faculty with a low student to teacher ratio; corporate sponsored equipment and technologies; and hands-on learning with paid internships and scholarships.

Students alternate between on-campus instruction and corporate internships so they can apply what they’ve learned in the classroom and labs to the real-world setting.

Students who earn an Associate in Applied Science degree from OSUIT in one of these four programs typically already have a job waiting for them once they graduate because of the strong relationship between industry partners and the university.

Graduates are ready to start their career as high performance service technicians who diagnose problems and perform proper procedures to maintain high customer service standards. The curriculum is also designed to enable graduates to advance within their industry with additional experience and understand new systems and technologies.
