Kathryn Bible

Role:

Biography:
Kathryn graduated from Bacone College in 1991 with an Associate in Applied Science degree. Her nursing career began in medical/surgical nursing. Oncology nursing then became her passion for the next twelve years. Her other nursing experiences included the OR and maternal child. She graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Oklahoma. She has been in nursing education for eleven years teaching primarily in the foundations and medical/surgical semesters of the nursing program.

Favorite Spot on Campus:
The pond behind the Health Sciences Building is my favorite spot on campus. It has a water fountain that is very soothing.

Why I love OSUIT:
I work with great people! This is a vibrant and forward thinking campus. Technology is integrated into the nursing program so the students will be prepared for practice when they graduate.

Chrissi Martin

Biography:
I graduated with my LPN degree in 1997, graduated with my RN degree from OSUIT in 2006, graduated with my BSN degree from Oklahoma Wesleyan in 2009. I graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan with my MBA with an emphasis in nursing management in May of 2011. I received my MS in nursing education from SNU summer of 2013. I worked at St. Johns hospital for 11 years. I worked in all areas of the hospital. I started teaching full-time January of 2010. My favorite area of nursing is Medical-Surgical.

Favorite Spot on Campus:
Our simulation lab because of all of the advancing technology used.

Why I love OSUIT:
I am an OSUIT nursing graduate and have seen firsthand the quality education that OSUIT provides.


Jana Martin

Role:
Dean, MS, RN, CNE

Biography:
Jana is a graduate of OSUIT having graduated from here in 1986 with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Medical Secretarial Science. It is with this degree and employment that she found her true desire which is nursing. She graduated from CSC in 1992 and then went on to complete her Masters of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Oklahoma. She has been in nursing education for 14 years. This year she was honored by being selected by her peers in the Oklahoma Nurses Association as a candidate to be selected by the Governor of Oklahoma to the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. She resides in Morris, with her daughters Cheyanne and Codi, son-in-law Josh, and two granddaughters Tenli and Timber.

Favorite Spot on Campus:
The Student Lounge in the Nursing Department.
