OSUIT in Okmulgee is a public institution of higher education that has several services available for the entire community. So, please come visit us soon.

Q: What parts of campus are open to the general public?

While most of our facilities are dedicated to instructional usage, we do have several parts of campus that cater to the general public.

In the center of campus, the Student Union offers a variety of services to students and community members, including meeting/conference rooms that are available for local community service organizations. To reserve a room for your group, please call (918) 293-5292.

The Cafeteria (a.k.a. Cowboy Café), in the northwest corner of the Student Union, offers a soup and salad bar, hot entrees, fresh vegetables, desserts, a grill for cooked-to-order hamburgers, deli sandwich counter, and much more. It serves Monday – Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. when classes are in session. For more information or to book catered events within the Student Union, call (918) 293-4964.

The OSUIT Copy Center, across from the Cowboy Café, provides duplicating, collating, and binding services. Office hours are Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. You may call (918) 293-4619 for further assistance.

Located at the southwest corner of the Student Union, the Campus Bookstore maintains a stock of OSU & OSUIT logo clothing and gift items. The Bookstore is open Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with extended hours at the beginning of each semester. Staff are available to assist you at (918) 293-4950.

OSUIT operates a Post Office next to the Bookstore. Lobby hours are Monday – Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. It is closed on all university and U.S. holidays.

Throughout the year, the School of Visual Communications hosts various art exhibits in the Conoco Art Gallery of the Student Union. The doors are normally open from 7:30 to 4:30. Please call (918) 293-5050 for a schedule of exhibits.

The OSUIT School of Culinary Arts, centrally located on campus, is home to Okmulgee’s finest restaurants, the State Room and the Tech Room. Known for famous grand buffets, visitors come from all over the region to enjoy the unique dining experience operated by students in the culinary program. Because these restaurants operate Wednesday – Friday around class schedules, reservations are highly recommended. To make reservations or to schedule a catered event, call (918) 293-5010.

OSUIT has almost two miles of walking trails on the east side of campus. The walking trails are available to the public any day from daylight to dusk.

The OSUIT Child Care Center provides child care services (including before and after school care) to the OSUIT campus and Okmulgee community.
