CPT program gives students a first look at manufacturing

Jordan Richie and Jeffrey Helmuth enrolled in OSUIT-MAIP’s first CPT class made available to high school students in January and completed the program in May, the same time the two graduated from Pryor High School. Immediately, they went to work as floaters at RAE Corporation, a manufacturing company that produces heating, cooling and refrigeration systems.

More than blocks: OSUIT-MAIP hosts 13th annual LEGO Robotics Camp

This year's three-day camp had 11 students ages 9 to 11 work in teams to construct a motorized robot from LEGOs, complete with light, sound, touch and ultrasonic sensors, and then program that robot to complete a series of tasks and challenges.
