OrangeFest, an Okmulgee festival formerly known as Super Saturday, is set for April 10-11, expanding into a two-day event with activities downtown around the square and on the OSU Institute of Technology campus. Admission and parking are free.

There was a full house in the State Room on April 11 for OSU Institute of Technology’s second annual Alumni Homecoming Reception. At the reunion for all graduating classes, the university made history by recognizing several of its alumni and inducting them as inaugural members of the OSUIT Hall of Fame.

Super Saturday festival caps historic weekend for OSUIT

Nearly 2,000 people from northeast Oklahoma and surrounding states descended on the OSU Institute of Technology campus Saturday to take part in the second annual Super Saturday festival.

Nine to be inducted into new OSUIT Alumni Hall of Fame

In this inaugural year, four individuals will be honored as Distinguished Alumni, those who are established in their professions and whose career accomplishments have been outstanding, and five people will be recognized as Rising Stars, those alumni who have demonstrated significant or outstanding accomplishments within their first ten years of graduation.

ART Plus to highlight talent of alums

ART Plus, an exhibition of artwork by Visual Communications alumni runs from March 19 through April 10 in the DIY Gallery of AHHA, the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa’s Hardesty Arts Center, at 101 E. Archer St., in Tulsa. The silent auction is April 10 from 6 to 9 p.m., and will also raise money for a new scholarship aimed at helping second-year VisCom students continue their education.

Country artist Dylan Scott to headline Super Saturday

The free concert, presented by Tulsa radio station 106.1 The Twister, is slated for 3 p.m., April 12 during Super Saturday, an Okmulgee community homecoming event hosted on the campus of OSU Institute of Technology.
