O&P program to offer one-day specialty course in Tulsa

OSUIT’s Orthotics & Prosthetics Technologies program is offering a one-day post-mastectomy fitter course on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The course will be held at OSU Center for Health Services’ Forensic Science & Biomedical Research Building, 1111 W. 17th St., in Tulsa. The cost is $50, and breakfast and lunch are provided.

OSUIT awarded $4.4 million in grants

OSU Institute of Technology received two different grants from the U.S. Department of Labor as part of $474.5 million in grants to community colleges and universities around the country. OSUIT was the only institution in Oklahoma to be awarded money from these federal grants.

O&P Director Jennifer Block Awarded for Breaking Down Barriers

Jennifer Block works tirelessly to combat gender and economic barriers in education. She recently received the national Myra P. Sadker Award recognizing a technical educator for reducing gender bias and stereotyping in school and work based educational settings.
