Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology is proud to offer our workshops and special events. Each workshop was created to help ANY college-bound student.

There is no charge for any of our workshops or events. Parents, teachers, counselors, workforce and TRiO advisors and interested adults are more than welcome to join us too!

ACT Prep Workshop

The first in our series is the ACT PREP Workshop, which will teach students strategies on how to approach each subtest (English, math, reading and science,) how to study and general tips on taking the ACT exam.

Career Encounters

OSUIT's Annual Career Exploration Day.  Career Encounters gives participants an opportunity to explore the different program offerings at OSUIT and to learn the career options that come with those programs.  This is a hands-on open house style event for seniors, adult learners, CareerTech and high school counselors, faculty, parents and friends.  REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS!

Career Encounters 2018 will be on Tuesday, October 9th from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Advisement Day

Advisement days are an event for all prospective students that plan to attend OSUIT OR any prospective students that are currently undecided and seeking advisement.  Please choose one of the dates below to register for your Advisement Day!

Afternoon with Pete

Join us for an Afternoon with Pete!  Afternoon with Pete is a special weekend open house event.  We will be offering full campus tours, academic program visits, admissions information, residential life information,  a variety of Financial Aid sessions, and also OG&E will be giving information on their scholarship, internship and employment opportunities.

Pistol Pete will be onsite for pictures from 12:30 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.

Transition Camp

The Transition Camp is intended for any new, incoming OSUIT freshmen that have just completed high school and are making the transition to college.  During this event, we will walk students through using their Student Self-Service, give guidelines on managing time, teach students how to improve their note-taking skills and we will also learn how to navigate the online classroom for any students enrolled in an online course. 

To sign up for the Transition Camp, you must already be enrolled for the Fall 2018 semester and have your OKEY login & password.

Women in Technology

This event is designed for young ladies in grades 9- 12 to explore "untraditional" career paths for women.  They get to learn about excellent career opportunities for talented women interested in high-paying, technology-driven fields.  They get to engage in activities and demonstrations to better understand the academic and skill requirements for the various career opportunities that are offered through OSU Institute of Technology. 

This event is usually held in November, but we are moving it to the Spring.

Women in Technology will be Thursday, March 8, 2018. 

Registration for this event is not open at this time. 

Classroom Workshop

Classroom workshops are hands-on and interactive presentations that incorporate audiovisual components and handouts/exercises to engage various learning styles. Presentations are approximately 40 minutes.
